DFWI have been asked to run their Tea Tent at the 2022 Camp Bestival, to be held 28 to 31 July.

Volunteers are required 29 to 31 July and a volunteer application form can be downloaded from the Booking Forms page.

There is still time to volunteer to help; the closing date is 28 May.

Members are needed to volunteer for whole days, working about six and a half hours between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Our tea tent serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, filled rolls, bacon rolls and cakes.  At our craft table we show children how to make a simple craft item.

It has to be emphasised that you will be on your feet for most of the day, and there will be a 15 minute walk to the marquee from the car park.

Your entry wristband entitles you to enjoy all the fun of the festival after helping in the tea tent (if you have the energy!).

You can also help support us by baking cakes   -   the most popular are coffee and walnut, chocolate cake and Victoria sponges but no favoured recipe will be turned down!  Unfilled or un-iced sponge cakes will be welcomed too, as they can be decorated in the marquee.  Each cake is required to have a list of ingredients please.

If you are unable to get your cakes to Dorchester there are committee members in the north, east, west and south of the County who will accept them.  Please see page 5 of the May issue of WI News, or contact County Office for details.
